My first time at Buttonwillow was such a blast! Over the course of 2 days there it has easily become my favorite track so far. It’s certainly a little safer to push the car to the limits here than at Thunderhill or Laguna Seca. There’s a lot more flat runoff on most of the corners.

My first ever track day in the pouring rain and I spin the car in between T4 and T5. It’s sheer luck that I didn’t make contact with any walls. If you’re curious what happened, the rear tires received a small bump in power as I reached the vtec engagement point — this caused the rear end to come out coming out of T4. Tires were Dunlop Direzza Z1 Star-specs at nearly full tread height front and back however standing water covered most of the track. That track session was cancelled the lap after I brought the car back in due to standing water.
